‘Forget’ is the new single from Swiss shoegaze favourites Moonpools. The five-piece have continued to expand their sound with this new single, allowing the stunning textural nuances of bands like Cocteau Twins to collide with a melodic, modern pop twist. Haunting guitars blur into distant synths, providing a bed for a bittersweet vocal delivery with lyrics touching on “being caught up in memories. An attempt to assign blame and evade responsibility. Perceptions that have been distorted by the years gone by and now won’t let one go.” Moonpool’s output is made even more impressive by the knowledge that the entire thing is recorded and self-produced from a home studio.
